About PupilTube

Late 2008, the dutch student Economics Sidney Haver was looking for tutorials about the Philips Curve as textbooks failed to actively explain all aspects. As the right video explanation was very hard to find on one of the the numerous video websites, we started plans for developing our own video website focused solely on tutorials, explanations, how-to's and instruction videos.

After thinking about the right name (which is pretty hard these days as almost all atractive domains have been claimed) we came up with "pupil" (which is translated as a student, somebody who is eager to learn) and "tube" (guess where we got that idea from...), resulting in PupilTube. Mid 2009 the first version (V1, the current version) was launched.

Our content
The videocontent on PupilTube.com is a collection of videos uploaded by our users (homemade user generated content) and embedded videos added by the PupilTube.com team. These embedded videos are published by other how to video websites and are added to PupilTube.com as we believe it helps our visitors get what they are looking for: answers on their how to questions.

The future

As we are still in the start-up phase, we not only grab all opportunities for publicity we get, we also actively look for them by approaching all poplar media formats. We believe quality is the key to succes, meaning we watch each and every video placed on our website. Our goal is to become the central place on the internet where people watch their favorit explanatory videos.

Besides becomming more well-known, we plan on adding features to increase usability. First up will be the addition of some cool new features. Offcouse, we would really love to hear from you what you would like to see on PupilTube. You can contact us directly.
